Structural Analysis Services
Analysis and sizing of steel structures according to AISC 360, ASCE 7, and European standards (Eurocodes). Limit state verification, load combinations, and connection checks.
Structural Analysis per International Codes
We perform comprehensive structural analyses for steel structures, verifying the capacity of all members according to applicable design codes. Our approach spans from global structural modeling to detailed component verification, including beams, columns, bracing, anchor plates, and connections. Each analysis starts with a rigorous definition of actions (dead loads, live loads, wind, seismic, snow, temperature) and their combinations per the applicable code.
- Linear and nonlinear static analysis of steel structures
- Dynamic modal and spectral analysis for seismic loads
- Verification per AISC 360-22 and EN 1993 (Eurocode 3)
- Load combinations per ASCE 7-22, EN 1990, and BS EN
- Global stability and buckling analysis (Euler, lateral-torsional)
- Ultimate limit state (ULS) and serviceability limit state (SLS) checks
Advanced Structural Modeling and Simulation
We use advanced structural analysis software to model real structural behavior with 3D frame and finite element models. This allows us to capture effects such as force redistribution, member interaction, connection stiffness, and second-order effects (P-Δ and P-δ). Accurate modeling is the foundation for efficient sizing that leverages the structure's real capacity without unnecessary oversizing.
- Complete 3D frame and finite element models (shell, solid)
- Wind load analysis per EN 1991-1-4 or ASCE 7 (chapters 26-31)
- Seismic loads: modal spectral analysis and equivalent lateral force method
- Second-order analysis with initial geometric imperfections
- Natural frequency evaluation, vibration modes, and pedestrian comfort
- Thermal analysis and temperature gradients in exposed structures
Types of Structures Analyzed
Our experience covers a wide range of structural typologies in industrial and commercial applications. Each structure type presents specific analysis challenges that we address with the appropriate tools and methods.
- Industrial buildings: portal frames, trusses, purlins, and bracing
- Equipment platforms and supports: concentrated loads, vibrations, fatigue
- Storage structures: silos, hoppers, industrial racking
- Walkways and stairs: pedestrian loads, vibration comfort
- Energy structures: solar panel supports, wind turbine foundations
- Renovations and extensions: residual capacity assessment and reinforcement
Technical Documentation and Calculation Reports
Every analysis project is documented with complete, professional calculation reports. These reports include all design assumptions, calculation models used, analysis results, force envelopes, and code verifications element by element. Documentation is written to be clear, traceable, and ready for third-party review, whether by control offices, public administrations, or end clients.
- Clearly documented design assumptions and calculation basis
- Calculation models with software captures and structural scheme description
- Force envelopes and moment, shear, and axial diagrams
- Detailed code verifications: resistance, buckling, deflection, fatigue
- Utilization ratios per element to identify critical points
